Cartagena

I had so much fun in Colombia, it completely blew me away. The architecture, culture and food were so different than anywhere else I’ve been, I can’t wait to go back! Here’s a list of my favourite spots in Cartagena;

Restaurants

Don Juan – This was my favourite meal by far, i had the sea bass risotto, definitely make reservations if you want to go here!

Vera  – Upscale restaurant in our hotel and the food was good.

La Cevicheria  – Great lunch spot, but they don’t open until 1!

Moshi – Upscale Japanese, this was one of my faves as well.

Carmen – This is a very popular local spot so make reservations if you want to go here.

Hotels

I highly recommend staying within the walled city, there is so much to do and see, we never ventured out once.

Mansion Tcherassi – We stayed in in this 7 room boutique hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and they have two mini private pools on the roof that no one else was using during our stay. You also have access to the full amenities at their sister Tcherassi hotel a block away so we spent our time between the two.

Shopping

St. Dom – Upscale and only Colombian designers. I bought most of my pieces from here!

Casa Chiqui – Home decor and accessories

Other things to do

Cafe Havana – for a night out salsa dancing.

Crazy Salsa – For a salsa dancing class before the night out.

Alquímico: Very cool 3-story bar

Rosario Islands and Baru  – You can either do a day excursion or rent a boat if you have enough people, I didn’t end up going because I have having too much fun on land but I’d love to this on my next trip!
